Greenhouse effect is the process in which thermal radiation from a planetary
surface is absorbed by atmospheric greenhouse gases which is distributed in all
directions. Since part of the distribution is towards the surface and lower of
the atmosphere, it results of an elevation of an average surface temperature
which is the absence of the gases.
Earth’s natural greenhouse effect makes life possible. But human
activities, like the burning of fossil fuels and clearing of forests, have
intensified the natural greenhouse effect, which causes global warming.
